THE ITF
The International Taekwon-do Federation (ITF) is the world governing body of the true Taekwon-do as founded by the late General Choi Hong Hi. Taekwon-do was created with the purpose of building an ideal society with members who have developed not only powerful techniques but also the high ideals of a moral society which is based on humanity, justice, tolerance, honesty and mutual respect with these principles as the foundations of our training as taught by our founding Grand Master General Choi Hong Hi, we will be empowered to reach these goals.
Taekwon-do is a Martial Art that helps promote the coming together of all peoples in a common brother-hood, without regard to religion, race, national or ideological boundaries that plague the world today therfore demonstrating to the world the true meaning of the human race united for the betterment of world peace and always standing on the side of justice no matter what the odds.
Old sages used to say; "to common men, life is most valuable and death most fearful, However a righteous man would value justice above life itself and would be willing to die rather than submit to injustice"
Our Taekwon-do training is based on the teachings of the late General Choi Hong Hi to develop students who have not only developed the physical techniques but also developed the mind and spirit, to have a balance between these 3 facets of Taekwon-do is challenge to the instructor and student alike, as General Choi once said " the ideal Taekwon-do student is a scholar and a soldier"
Our Taekwon-do schools aim is to preserve the original teachings of General Choi and the beautiful art of Taekwon-do and pass on his teachings to the next generation of Taekwon-do leaders.
